Inspired by my grandmother, a community and civic leader, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others grow, heal, and succeed.Chaunté moved to Oklahoma City in 1996 and is a proud graduate of Putnam City High School, “The Original.” She continued her education at Oklahoma City Community College, where she earned her associate degree in physical therapy, before completing her Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health at Oklahoma State University. She later earned her Master of Business Administration with a focus in Healthcare Administration from Mid-America Christian University.As a practicing Physical Therapist Assistant, Chaunté has dedicated her career to helping others heal and thrive. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served on the frontlines as a therapist, providing care to patients during one of the most challenging times in recent history. Her work in healthcare has given her firsthand insight into the gaps in our system, and fuels her commitment to making healthcare more accessible and effective for all Oklahomans.Beyond her professional career, Chaunté has been deeply involved in her community through numerous leadership roles and civic organizations. She has served as an officer in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and held key leadership positions with New Leaders Council, including Oklahoma Chapter Director and Director Emeritus. Her commitment to service also includes involvement with Oklahoma City Young Professionals, the Junior League of Oklahoma City, the Greater OKC Urban League Guild, Leadership Oklahoma City, and Oklahoma City Rotary-Club 29.<h4>I’m not a career politician. I’m a healthcare worker, a community leader, and someone who has spent years doing the work, not just talking about it. I’m running to bring real leadership, real experience, and real results to the State Capitol.</h4>

Chaunté Gilmore is a Director of Rehabilitation and community leader rooted in NW Oklahoma City, with deep ties to Bethany and Warr Acres. She’s not new to this work. She’s built her career in it.Every day, she works directly with patients and families, helping people recover, hold onto their independence, and navigate systems that are often confusing, under-resourced, and stacked against them. She’s seen what happens when those systems fail and who gets left behind.And she knows the issues don’t stop at healthcare. What she’s seen in her patients shows up everywhere, in housing, education, jobs, and access to opportunity. For Chaunté, this work has never been about one issue. It’s about how all of it connects and how it impacts real people trying to live their lives.She’s not removed from the work. Her perspective is built through real experiences, real people, and the communities she serves every day.
