Chaunté believes every child deserves a high-quality public education, no matter their zip code. Public education should prepare kids with the skills they need for success, and under status quo leadership, student literacy and math skills have increasingly deteriorated.
Chaunté supports empowering educators by investing in the classroom resources needed to build student skills, as well as increasing teacher pay so that educators can remain focused on their passion instead of worrying about inflation.
Cost-of-living is out of control, and the status quo has done nothing to address it. Chaunté supports increasing the Homestead Exemption to provide relief for working and retired families in way that doesn't hurt our public school funding.
Between the rise in data centers and surveillance pricing, it feels like Big Tech is watching our every move. Chaunté will work toward accountability for AI, more responsible data center management, and keeping your privacy safe from government and corporate overreach.
As your bills keep inflating, Chaunté is working to increase access to good-paying jobs in a tough economy. She supports workforce training programs, career pipelines, and economic development strategies that bring new industries and opportunities to the state.
Safe neighborhoods are part of what helps a community and its economy thrive. I've seen firsthand how much is asked of first responders and how they show up for us in difficult moments. Chaunté will listen to first responders and support the pensions they've earned.
